Merrymakers is this one stop shop. We are a small family firm with 12 years experience in the events business. We offer a complete wedding planning service aimed at saving you time and money whilst ensuring you get hitched without a hitch!

The best way to find good suppliers, especially for something as important as your wedding, is by personal recommendation. The reality is that people spend hours at wedding fayres or reading Yellow Pages, looking for that ideal car, cake or DJ, with little idea how good they are.

You need look no further for good advice. We will spend time with you on a one to one basis and establish what you want from your big day. What is your budget? Who are the key family and friends involved? What are your priorities and what are those little touches you'd really like but aren't sure you can afford?

After establishing these basics, we'll search our database of local suppliers, identifying those which best fit your requirements and budget. You get the benefit of a wedding fayre in the comfort of your own home, accompanied by personal recommendations and advice from us.

Once you have made your choices, we take on the hassle of dealing with paperwork. We will chase suppliers and confirm arrangements. Changed your mind about something? No problem! One call to us and we'll make sure everyone gets up to speed. We will arrange regular meetings with you to see how everything is going and will always be only a phone call away.

We know the ins and outs of wedding etiquette and protocol. We can even help you write your speeches. Want something a little different? Table magicians to entertain your guests? Exploding balloons full of confetti? Portraits of the guests as place settings? Scottish Pipers? Theme and fancy dress weddings? We've seen it all and arranged most of it! Feel free to pick our brains and make your day really special.

The best bit of all is that this service costs you nothing. The chosen suppliers provide us with a trade discount - you pay the same amount whether you use us or not. We negotiate a standard discount with all the suppliers which keeps us independent.

Should you already be well on the way to organising the day, or have specific suppliers in mind, we will happily take these on board and incorporate them into your plans. Our job is to help you make an informed choice, not to persuade you to use particular suppliers.

What happens when you are safely on your way to your honeymoon destination? We go on working for you, settling any remaining bills, making sure the photographs are with you as soon as possible and finally putting together a file summarising all the elements of the big day for your records.
